Field Service Technician- Waste Collection Vehicles

Our client is a world leader in the supply and repair of vehicles for cleaning and clearing operations. Due to growth they are currently seeking a Service Technician with experience working with heavy industrial sweepers and waste collection vehicles to join their team. You will commence in the workshop where you will carry out basic training before  working in the field to repair and service a variety of equipment.You will need proven experience in fault finding and problem solving on waste collection vehicles and must have the ability to provide a high level of customer service to clients.The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm and Friday 7:30am-2:00pm with some flexibility. A pay rate of $40.19 (based on experience and plus superannuation) for a trade qualified Service Technician with experience is on offer. To be successful you will need:

  • To be trade qualified in automotive mechanical, electrical or mechanical fitting
  • Experience working with heavy vehicles- sweepers and waste collection
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics or electrics
  • A hands on and mechanically minded aptitude 
  • Understanding and respect for safety awareness
  • To work with minimal supervision
  • Good work attitude and ethic with excellent time keeping history
  • A drivers licence and reliable transport
  • Your birth certificate or passport to show your work rights in Australia
  • 2 x contactable referees to verify your experience and work behaviour
