Process Workers and Forklift Operators – Recycling Plant

Our client collects and recycles a variety of products from businesses and households. The products collected range between paints and thinners, car batteries, light globes, pool chemicals and other dry and liquid hazardous material. As a process worker or forklift operator you will be required to assist with the recycling of all products that come onto the site.  There are several critical roles and you will be rotated once you have completed a full induction and job specific training.   The duties you will be performing will vary and include: Sorting paint and decanting liquids into bulk containersMachine operation to crush containers and productsUsing hydraulic pumps to drain liquids from drums into smaller unitsOperate counterbalance forklift to relocate pallets and stillages around the warehouseLoad and unload trucksHousekeeping including cleaning up of any spillsAll roles will require some manual handling, there are lifting devices available to assist with moving bulk containers, however you will be required to lift and move products throughout the day.  Please also be aware that you will be required to stand for the majority of your shift. PPE is mandatory for all jobs with standard PPE including: long pants, long sleeved shirt, steel capped safety shoes, eye and hand protection with additional task specific PPE including wearing of full face respirator and/or industrial apron.To be considered for these positions you will need:Previous experience working as a process operator within a factory environmentYour own reliable transport - our client is not located close to public transportIf you are a male you will need to be clean shaven as you may be required to wear a full face respiratoryFlexibility as you will be required to rotate between rolesDue to the nature of working with chemicals and hazardous material people suffering from sinus, asthma or allergies cannot be considered for this work as contact with some chemicals may trigger a reaction.If you are interested in applying please contact Penrith Personnel on 4731 2807 to discuss further or send your resume via the link below.  Please note:  if you have recently applied for this same position, please do not re-apply as we have your details on file.   • Load and unload trucks
