Production Area Supervisor- Penrith

Our client located in Penrith are a national leader in pre-cast manufacturing. Specialising in custom designed products for the construction industry, they are now seeking an experienced and hands on Area Supervisor to join their team.Due to exceptional growth and a restructure this is a newly created position.The production area has now been divided into three divisions, and the purpose of this position is to lead and manage one of the sections which is made up of a small team.This is a hands on role where you will supervise your team, while rolling up your own sleeves to perform alongside your crew. A competitive salary of $65K - $75k plus superannuation is on offerThe hours of work are Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm with flexibility during peak time.Your main responsibilities will include:To direct your team to achieve daily KPI's with a high standard of safety and qualityIdentify opportunities for process, quality and safety improvementProduce timely and accurate data reports for the site managerPlan and prepare production schedulesMaintain WH&S in the factory and ensure staff, facility and equipment are compliantPerform hands on workLiaise with other supervisors and management to forecast production requirementsMentor and develop team membersTroubleshoot and problem solveTo be successful you will need to:Have previous experience as a supervisor or leading hand within a manufacturing environmentHave knowledge and experience with manufacturing processesHave strong leadership skills to motivate your teamHave strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with people across all levels of the businessUnderstand safety, compliance and the chain of responsibilityForklift licence (desirable)Current driver's licence and reliable transport2 x checkable work referencesIf you possess the above skills and experience, and are seeking to join a friendly and supportive company, then please apply now!  Australia - NSW Sydney Parramatta & Western Suburbs

To be successful you will need to:

  • Have previous experience as a supervisor or leading hand within a manufacturing environment
  • Have knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes
  • Have strong leadership skills to motivate your team
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with people across all levels of the business
  • Understand safety, compliance and the chain of responsibility
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport
  • 2 x checkable work references
